IT Budgets On The Rise

In case you just emerged from a bomb shelter that you’ve been living in for the past twenty years – we are fully living in the digital age.

I wake up in the morning and immediately check my smart phone. Before I leave for work, I make sure I have my tablet in my bag before I make sure I have my breakfast in my bag, which I eat at my desk while I stare at my computer. On my way home, I have Siri send a few text messages for me. When I get home, my spouse and I don’t even speak. We just send iMessage’s back and forth all evening, avoiding eye contact.

That last part is not true, but you get my point.

This is how people live now. Information is at the tip of our fingers, constantly. Twitter sometimes has more timely news than CNN.

Business-wise, obviously technology has revolutionized everything. It’s no surprise that companies all over the globe have been steadily raising their IT budgets – and 2013 will be no exception. 85% of IT executives are predicting their budgets will be equal to or greater than their 2012 budgets. Being a tech-savvy company often means less business expenses, and more business opportunities.
